Cultural building (arts, music, food, entertainment, boutique hotel)
Cnr of Beaufort and James Street, Perth

An architectural experiment on erosion, surprise, the un-predictable and the explorative. First impressions, pre-assumptions and the intrigue. Manifestos of human social interactions with each other and to growing cultural capital.

Above all, a vibrant extension to the existing cultural centre buildings and adjacent art gallery, sensitivity to the existing pedestrian and vehicle movements of the site.

yeah laser cutter and that 3d prototyper is the bomb aye, take a look at the heritage buildings, modelled the arches and skirtings in sketchup and put it thru, u can see the light from beneath shine thru the facades which is made outta that resin material the machines makes it all out of.

im getting too predictable arnt i lol. Sketchup with vray once again, just keeping to one material. Model was too small to get any interior shots with a camera.

top left shows vray plugin capabilities quite well i guess, good quality renders for sure!

dont think khoas doing that unit with the machines anymore, havnet heard anything about it yet. :(
